Here’s what you can enjoy on day 7, our actual 10th birthday, of the LSO St Luke’s 10th Birthday Festival:

1pm: BBC Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert with the LSO Strings

SCHOENBERG Verklärte Nacht
TCHAIKOVSKY Serenade for Strings

Led by Roman Simovic

Tickets: £10 (£9 concessions).
Tickets are available on the door, or you can book online

3.30pm: Centre for Orchestra Violin Masterclass with Roman Simovic

Of the many activities that form Centre for Orchestra throughout the year, Guildhall School musicians get the chance to take part in masterclasses with some of the world’s leading artists and orchestral musicians. Today’s masterclass sees the Leader of the LSO, Roman Simovic, working with Guildhall string players on Shostakovich’s String Quartet No 10, sharing his expertise with the students and the audience alike. All participating students are members of the LSO String Experience Scheme.
